Robinsons Motor Group was founded in the 1920's by the late William Arthur Robinson (Bill) who at the time traded in horses, he then began to trade in cars. In the early days he only dealt in used cars but as the business progressed he took on the Roots franchise, famous for the Hillman Imp.
He continued with the Roots franchise until the early 1970's when his sons Michael and Richard visited the London Motor Show and came back with a handful of brochures on Mazda and the details of how to become a dealer.
Together with their sister Mary they took the business forward with Mazda. The dealership is now one of the top ten Mazda dealerships in the country and is still owned and run by the family with Bill's grandson, Mark Robinson now its Dealer Principal.They offer new and used Mazda approved cars for sale as well as servicing, parts, body repair and valeting. Recently they opened a new, used car operation on a one acre site at 555 Aylestonee Road where all makes and price ranges of cars can be found for sale.
Whilst offering all of these products and services they are focused on the fact that without satisfied customers they do not have a viable business. They run a comprehensive 'Quality Customer Service' programme and in a recent Nation-wide survey were amongst the top ranking dealerships. Robinsons Motor Group is now the longest established Mazda dealers in the Midlands.
